Bottle Gourd Fry / Churakka Thoran / Lauki Subzi (Kerala Style)

Ingredients:
1. Bottle Gourd - 1 (medium size - chopped)
2. Curry leaves - 1 sprig
3. Green chilli - 3 (chopped)
4. Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
5. Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
6. Urad dal / White lentil - 1/4 tsp
7. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
8. Grated coconut - 3 tbsp
9. Salt to taste.
10. Oil - 1.5 tbsp

Preparation:
 1. Heat oil in a pan. Splutter mustard seeds, cumin seeds and urad dal
2. Put green chilies, curry leaves, turmeric powder and cook for 1 minute.
3. Add the chopped bottle gourd and mix well. Sprinkle little water and keep covered for 5 minutes
4. Put grated coconut and salt
5. Mix well and keep covered till bottle gourd gets cooked cooks
Serve hot with chappathi / roti
