Coriander Rice / Cilantro Rice / Malli Choru / Kothamalli Sadam

Ingredients:
1. Basmati Rice (small grain or long grain) - 1 cup
2. Coriander leaves - 1 cup (tightly packed)
3. Cardamon pods - 3
4. Cloves - 4
5. Cinnamon stick - 2
6. Black Pepper - 5-6
7. Green Chilli - 5
8. Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
9. Onion - 1
10. Ghee - 2 tbspn
11. Salt to taste

Method:
1. Cook rice by adding little salt. The grains after cooking should remain seperate
2. Wash coriander leaves. Chop it and grind it with cardamon pods, cloves, cinnamon stick, black pepper, green chillies and cumin seeds using very less water to form a paste (Add water only if required)
3. Keep aside the paste
4. Heat ghee in a pan and saute the onions till it turns translucent
5. The add the ground paste and little salt as required (remember already salt is added while cooking rice, so add accordingly) and saute till the raw smell goes
6. Add rice and mix well
 Serve hot with raita
