Kadala Roast / Black Chana Roast


Ingredients:

1. Kadala (Black Chana)  - 400 gm
2. Green chilli  - 5
3. Ginger  - 1 piece
4. Red Chilli powder  - 2 tspn
5. Turmeric powder  - 1 spn
6. Coriander powder  - 1 spn
7. Coconut oil  - 150 ml
8. Cardamon  - 5
9. Shallots (small onions)  - 7
10. All purpose flour (Maida)  - 1 cup
11. Gram flour  - 1 cup
12. Salt to taste

Method:
1. Boil the channa
2. Make paste of shallots and cardamon.
3. Make small pieces of green chilli and ginger.
4. Make paste of maida, gram flour, chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric and little salt. Add little water and make a thick paste. Add channa to this paste, mix well and keep aside.
5. Heat the oil in a pan.
6. Then add the onion and cardamon paste along with green chilli and ginger.
7. Once its slightly cooked, add the channa mixture and mix well.
8. Add salt to taste
9. Garnish with curry leaves
