Ingredients:
1. Squid - 1 kg
2. Chilli powder - 1 tsp
3. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
4. Garlic cloves - 3 nos
5. Cloves - 3 nos
6. Cinnamon - 1 stick
7. Curry leaves - 4 sprigs
8. Green chillis - 4
9. Onions chopped - 2
10. Dry chilly flakes - 1/2 tsp
11. Oil - 1 1/2 tsp
12. Ginger & garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
13. Pepper powder - 1 tsp
14. Salt to taste
Method:
1. Slice the squids into rings of even shape to give it an appealing look
2. Marinate the cleansed and washed squids with ginger garlic paste, little turmeric powder and salt
3. Put the marinated squid in pressure cooker with little water for 2 whistles
4. Heat oil in a kadai or pan
5. Saute the onions
6. Put the chilli powder, turmeric powder, garlic, cloves, cinnamon stick, pepper powder, green chillies, curry leaves, dry chilli flakes and saute well till the masala smell comes out
7. Drain any water left in the cooker and add the squid to the masala
8. Mix the squid well with the masala
9. Wait till the gravy thickens
10 .Add salt as required
Serve as side dish with plain rice or roti
