Kovakai Fry / Ivy Gourd Fry / Kovakai Poriyal

Ingredients:


1. Kovakai / Ivy Gourd - 1/2 kg (sliced vertically)
2. Onion - 1 big (thinly sliced)
3. Green Chilli -3-4
4. Curry Leaves - 4
5. Chilli powder - 1 tsp (increase or reduce depending on the spiciness required)
6. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
7. Salt to taste
8. Oil to fry

Method:
1. Heat oil in a pan
2. Add onions and saute well till they turn golden brown
3. Then add green chillies, curry leaves and saute
4. Put chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and cook for 1 minute
5. Finally add the kovakai / ivy gourd and mix well
6. Keep covered on a low flame till the kovakai gets cooked
 Serve hot wit plain rice or roti
