Ingredients:
1. All Purpose Flour / Maida - 1 cup
2. Egg - 1 (optional)
3. Curd - 1 tbsp
4. Sugar - 1 tsp
5. Salt to taste
6. Milk as required to form a dough
7. Ghee / Oil - 1/2 cup
Preparation:
1.Mix flour, egg, curd, sugar, salt and the milk required to form a soft dough
2. Keep the dough covered with wet cloth for atleast 5 hours
3. Knead the dough once again and divide into 6-8 balls
4. Roll them out like chappatis in a thin layer
5. Brush little oil/ghee on the layer
6. Make pleats so as to look like a handmade paper fan
7. Roll it holding on one side so as to form a round. Then again roll out like a chappati
8. Fry on a pan on low flame till golden spots appear on both sides
9. Apply oil/ghee on both sides (optional)
10. Place all the prepared porathas on top of each, use both hands and pat on both sides of the porathas to get the layers
Serve with chicken, mutton or beef curry or any veg masala curry
